Deconstructing America: Humanities 11th Grade
This year in Humanities, we have been deconstructing the events that formed the America that we know today. So far, we have studied events such as the Civil War, the Landing of Columbus, the Emancipation Proclamation, and other events going back to the beginning. Ever since we started this unit, I have been seeing many of the past events from many different perspectives. For example, when we started studying Columbus, we also learned about the bad side to his arrival. One bad thing was that he started enslaving a lot of the natives. I would never have seen these perspectives if I hadn't been in this class. There are links below to other projects and work that we have done this semester.
